The choir was formed
in 1999 primarily to perform Burns songs at the annual Anniversary
Dinner.
Most years six songs
are chosen by the choir, often from the work of Burns but with the
occasional Scottish song from other sources. In some cases the
pieces are arranged specially for the choir and in this case the
harmonies are linked to this page.
The choir is
enthusiastically led by Jean Stewart and currently Morag Walton
accompanies the choir on the keyboard. In 2005 and 2006 the choir
entered the Ayr Music Festival and for their 2006 performance were
awarded the Bardrochet Cup.
